Visiting The Piscataway National Park!

National Parks are parks in use for conservation purposes. The National Park system has over 400 national park sites in the United States, They are great places to go to walk around, have a good time, and maybe enjoy a picnic. These parks are safe and good for all ages. Piscataway is the National Colonial Farm. This historical park takes you back to the 1700's. It allows children to play and learn at the same time. You will be surrounded by many farm animals and two historical buildings: the tobacco barn and the Laurel Branch farmhouse.

The park is filled with many activities to do. The animals you are expected to see are cows, pigs, chickens, bunnies, and sheep. There are also six hiking trails found around the park that you can walk through and two boardwalks over freshwater tidal wetlands. There are a variety of meadows and woodlands that can be viewed. Bird watching, fishing, and boating are also available at the park. Tours can be given for groups and school events to have someone dressed from the 1700's to guide you around. Don't forget to visit the gift shop for all your souvenir needs and wants.
