Awesome Things To Do When In New York

Are you planning on visiting New York any time soon? If you are, then you should be taking a look at all of the different things that you can do. Of course, there are the general things like Central Park and seeing a broadway show, and while they are both awesome things to do, our list is going to look at something a little different. We want to look at some of the less-known things that you can do in New York, so keep reading if you would like to find out more.

Head To The Catskills

First, we recommend that if you want to do something that is a little more adventurous than other people, you head to the Catskills. You can look at a guide that gives you all of the top-rated things to do in the New York Catskills, which includes something for everyone. It’s certainly something to consider, as it’s only a 2-hour drive from New York City, so if you do want to do the regular touristy things, then you can still do it all.

It’s well worth taking the time to explore this area if you don’t mind the drive. It’s worth taking a look at all of the awesome places available while you’re here, not missing out on anything.

The Metropolitan Museum Of Art

The Met is the biggest museum in the city, not only that, it is the biggest one if the hemisphere. When you visit the museum of art you will come face to face with masterpieces from all over the world, they even have Egyptian mummies. The museum is open every day except Wednesdays, so you will have a great chance to see everything. You can expect to pay around $30 for admission to this wonderful museum. It may seem like a high amount but it is more than worth it.

Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls is one of a kind experience that you can see for yourself for free 365 days a year, 24/7. While there are many other activities on both sides of the falls the park is free to enter but, you do have to pay for parking. Niagara Falls is one of the original seven wonders of the world. Don't sit around, growing old looking at your bucket list wishing you saw everything you wanted to see. Get the family, pack the bags and go on an adventure together. There are so many views to see without breaking the bank.

I hope that you get time to visit. We hope to visit all the original seven wonders of the world. Braden and I have one checked off our bucket list already. In my opinion, I do like the New York side better to see Niagara Falls from the ground. If you want views from above or an exploration of attractions then I recommend going to the Canadian side.

The Harlem Bazaar

The Harlem Bazaar is the largest arts & culture market in Uptown and The Bronx. It takes place every third Friday of the month between June and October from 2 pm to 8 pm. As such, if this is something that you want to experience then you have to come at the right time, but it’s certainly something we recommend. It’s full of wonderful arts and crafts, things that you may have never seen before, and people showing off their talents.

You will see some truly stunning pieces when you step into this space, and it will leave you with a sense of wonder at the things that people can create. Artists, merchants, and vendors will all be set up here, so it’s something you don’t want to miss if you’re there between the months of June and October.

We hope that you have found this article helpful, and now see some of the awesome things that you can do when you’re in New York. There is more than just Central Park to explore, and seeing a Broadway show to do in the evening. Hopefully, you enjoy your time here, and make the most of it as best you can!
